Planning reference 2008/0838 I am writing to object to the proposed wind turbine development at Sheephouse Heights for the following reasons: State your reasons IN YOUR OWN WORDS. Key reasons could include: • Visual Impact. The application has significant visual impact in an area next to the Peak District National Park and on a tranquil hillside providing picturesque rural views from the opposite hillside. • It is sited in the Green Belt impacting on our rural environment and Open Space and turbines, unlike the pylons, we can’t see through them, they are 3 times as big and they MOVE. • Probability of noise pollution. Possibility of low frequency noise up to 1½ miles from the turbines. • Significant traffic hazard and impact on narrow rural roads during the construction phase. • Proximity to A616. Possible distraction on one of the most dangerous roads in the country. • Impact on wild life. Including wide variety of birds, bats, brown hares, and badgers • Disruption of TV signal. (Those who live in Stocksbridge Deepcar valley) Probability of disruption of wireless broadband and mobile phones. • Danger of ice fling, fire, blade fling close to our roads, houses and footpaths. • The cumulative effect of existing and proposed wind farms in the area. You could write a single sentence such as... “I object to the proposal due to the size, nature and location of this project with its impact on open space and visual intrusion.”
